Our hometown. We can define it in many ways, but one thing is sure: It is a place we like to travel back with love and good memories. Living there might fade away the beauty of the village, but one thing is sure: there is no place without beauty.
I have painted this piece as a present for the little village, Gutorfölde (Hungary), where I spent most of my childhood. Speaking with locals, many could not recall the town’s beauties even though there were many little chapels and beautiful hills with grapes and oak forests surrounding the valley where the village settled and an equestrian stud. It was once famous for its vast apple fields.
Starting my official artist career, the village has given me the opportunity for my first exhibition.
